This policy explains what personal information CertMyLife collects when you use certmylife.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
• Learning records: program enrolments, lesson progress, quiz and exam attempts, and scores.
• Certificates: the recipient name, certificate title, credential ID, and issue date.
• Billing: subscription status and purchase history. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
• Technical data: basic logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) used for security and troubleshooting.

What is public

When you earn a certificate, its verification page is public. Anyone with the credential ID or link can see the recipient name, certificate title, issue date, and whether it is valid or revoked. Your email address, scores, and other account details are never shown there. Adding a certificate to LinkedIn shares the same information with LinkedIn, at your request.

How we use information

• To provide courses, grade assessments, and issue and verify certificates.
• To manage subscriptions and custom program orders.
• To send service emails (account, receipts, certificate issued). We do not sell your data.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud, including certificate fraud.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service, such as hosting, email delivery, and payment processing (Stripe), under contracts that restrict their use of it.

Retention

We keep account and learning data while your account is active. Certificate records are kept so that verification links keep working; if you delete your account we will revoke or anonymise your certificates on request.

Your choices and rights

You can update your name and email in your account settings. You may request a copy of your data, its correction, or its deletion, and you may object to certain processing, depending on where you live. Contact us at support@certmylife.com.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you by email or in the app.
